Participants: Tom Brennan, Rachel Grindlay, Vivien de Remy de Courcelles

Vivien at the top of Pass 34a

Easy open forest below the top of the pass

Steeper terrain further down

There were a lot of cut stumps, some very recent, and quite large. Hopefully this was due to the hazard reduction burn that appeared to end at the ridge, and not due to vandalism as has been the case on some other Colo passes.

Looking across to the Mailes Ridge cliffline

Vivien retreats, Rachel resorts to climbing to avoid the deepest section of river

Old dope plantation, no sign of any plants

20kg+ of wire netting! Not sure how they even got this in here!

Climbing the open ridge

One small line of cliffs to negotiate

Above the cliffline

Nice open section of ridge - while the ridge walking wasn't bad, it was mostly less pleasant than this!
