Everyone was wearing pretty much all the clothes they had at the start of the day! Thankfully the breeze died fairly quickly, and it was a beautiful, clear, but cold day abseiling the 7 pitches down Malaita Point into the Jamison Valley. Rod's group was much faster than mine, so was doing laps on the last abseil as they waited for us to arrive and have lunch. Many of the clothes then came off for the march up Furber Steps. Thanks to Rod for leading a second group, allowing many people who would otherwise have missed out to come along, and to the experienced abseilers in both groups for their help.

With a fair bit of daylight still left, a smaller group of us went looking for the Wall of Africa and Kilimanjaro abseils, over near the Devils Hole. Kilimanjaro proved a tester for almost everyone, with an exposed start and massive overhang. I think everyone enjoyed it - once they got going!
