The rent body of the elemental lies unmoving, its defiled body some how cleansed by the wounds it suffered.

The company stand at a precipice. Aramis, Mereoni and Kerac stare into its depths, the assembled others stare at the Drake Ethilion. His resumption of his normal body has done nothing to allay the astonishment of his band. Only the roaring of the waterfall prevents the inevitable hushed whispers.

Its Guardian defeated the Rift awaits healing silently. Solemnly Kerac cast a kernel of True Earth into the abyss. Silent, the Gulf swallows it....

Ethilion follows Kerac and walks over to the edge of the rift. With his dagger makes a cut in his flesh. As his blood drops into the abyss he says clearly, "May blood atone for blood".
