From Catherine (True Wing/Ogre) in answer to questions from GM Giles:

Questions- Are the travellers taking any of the new weapons? (or anything else from the keep)

True wing is taking his spear now equipped with True Wood. Giles I will need to new stats for the spear now its equipped with TW. Is it possible to weave more threads to the weapon? Will this make it better, more effective etc?

The ship was going to Iopos to pick up supplies...did the 4 PCs want dropping near the canal, on the way to the Iopos (i.e. won't get a chance to get supplies but might get picked up as the ship returns) or on the way back (after picking up supplies and with an option to do an aerial recon of the site but would be abandoned as the ship leaves, ie have to make their own way home)?

Option 2 - but depends on whether others in the party need equipment. Could do with some healing potions etc since their will only be potentially four of us.

Ogre needs some very rudimentary armour (leather or the like). Perhaps this can be picked up in Iopos. Is there any potions etc that True wing can get to permanently waterproof his wings? Is there someone on the boat that can do this prior to departure.

Any other questions? decisions? thoughts? plans while the ship is away

Ogre will set about cleaning the keep as best he can to take his mind off Mereoni's body lying in stasis. Is also interested in helping Dayoric clean & organise the library as he used to help Mereoni do in Jerris. would like Dayori (if time allows) to advance his reading and writing skills learnt at temple of Garlen with M. Any chance O. can try and check out his Camoflague ability against trees in the mountains?

Dropped on the way there. I don't fancy walking back to Jerris (or anywhere else). Some of it may be Earth Surfable, but I wouldn't guarantee it. Some people may remember me from my last visit to Iopos.

Is there any other "shopping" the ship is to return with? (they are mainly getting lumber, rope, mortar (the cement kind not the ordinance) and nails to fix the keep's dock and roof)

Last Chance Salves, Last Chance Salves, who forgot the Last Chance Salves last
time....

Don't care, but I'm not interested in walking anywhere.

From Alison (T'kral) in answer to questions from GM Giles:

Any other questions? decisions? thoughts? plans while the ship is away

T'kral, having gained some fondness for Mereoni and with a keen interest in re-entering Jerris as soon as possible, stays to support activities at the keep. Given that she is none too familiar with Iopos, it would take her some time to find any useful information on current Jerrisian happenings were she to travel with the boat. Her time is much better spent talking with Ethilion and Aramis on potential courses of action to retake the city.

Potential courses of action as T'kral sees them?

1. Sneak in and somehow gain access to the palace and deal with Calcaneous ourselves. We must have some proof that we can use to show his guilt and our innocence.

2. Obtain assistance from the Orc nation and attack the city. A direct attack is likely to be folly, even with the Orc nation behind us, unless we somehow have something hidden under our sleve? I'm not a tactician, and don't know much about this approach.

3. Use any assistance that Mereoni may have gained with her order to access the city and confront Calcaneous. With her 'dead' this is unikely, unless Ogre knows of other allies.

4. Establish ourselves at Dragon Keep and make a public claim on Calcaneous' deceit. We would need to have some popular support, proof, and be prepared to defend ourselves against the innevitable backlash. We would also need to have a better idea of the political support that Calcaneous has obtained from other nations/cities (more than just the rumours that we have currently).

Other options?

Other potential allies - Sara, Kenin, Captain Maddocks???, Cullen???

Have we used our 'favour' from the master that we assume to be IceWing? If not, can we somehow claim it to assist us in retaking the city? (Not that I know any of this, but can Earthroot help out somehow?)

If Kerac is successful in freeing this elemental, will this assist our cause in some way? How?

T'kral talks with Ogre to see what he knew of life in Jerris before they left. How was Meroni treated by others in her order? Did others know where she was going? Did she have any close friends? Are the people happy? If not, what are they upset about? What is the routine of the city (when do people move about, when are the markets busiest, etc. - ie. how do we need to behave, dress, etc if we wish to blend in?) It may be that none of this has really changed, but we need to know if it has.

She also is very interested in the valley and keep and discovering any secrets that it has to offer. Given its apparent past strategic importance, there must be something of value here that the group has not yet uncovered, particularly on the valley floor. She spends some time searching the cliff face and establishing the best route from the floor to the castle. With the aid of a rope and her gliding and climbing skills, she attempts to find or create a precarious but adequate path that winds its way across and down the cliff face to the ground below. Certainly this path is not for the faint hearted or those without guideance. In fact in places it barely consists of more than hand holds to climb, but it would allow for T'kral to reach the keep again from the valley floor.

Group Questions/Comments?

Is there something at the Jerrisian Kaer that we need to explore? Is there some strategic advantage that we can gain from it? From memory, Calcaneous had a significant interest in it. I can't remember details from the latest reference to it.

We should get some healing potions and a last chance salve or two while we're in Iopos, if we've the money to do so. Can someone on the ship please arrange this. I have some small funds to contribute, but don't know the cost of these items.

For Giles

To weave a thread to the daggers, you must be a part of the group pattern? If you are not, is there any benefit? Were there any other weapons that we discovered at the keep that are small and light? From memory they're all inappropriate for my character to carry or use.

From GM Giles:

Al talks of the Orc nation - the Orc nation fragmented many many years ago and is just a collection of warring tribes. There are rumours of a couple of groups trying to reform the Orc nation but they are a long way off completion.

Daggers - the main benefit is to enhance a group pattern, so they are best utilised by people in a group pattern
