From the squally walls of Dragon Keep, the princes stand in farewell of the Deliverance, her crew off to acquire supplies sufficient to refit the Keep. Among her number are 4 sombre fellows, their minds on the task ahead. The canal at Iopos nears completion. No longer a fantastic concept, the slave-built tributary is mere months from completion. Below decks Kerac sits with his fellows: Ingar, Brule in hand; Truewing Surestrike of Clan Chameleon horn; and Falorn, Skyraider of the Crystal Peaks. The knowledge that the Iopian's plans would be for naught if not for the massive power of a trapped child of the elemental plane of Earth has been a thorn in their side for over a year. The nearing completion of the task has forced their hands into action...
For those left behind the task of fortifying the keep and investigating its mysteries seem daunting. Over one thousand books remain intact and countless more damaged but partially salvageable. A room of elemental power, its purpose lost. Eight Ghost Masters inhabit the walls, bound to the castle itself. Recent events have cast a shadow over the joy the new owners would feel on the recapture of the keep. Two of their companions fell in the assault.
Mereoni, questor of Garlen, and Gorem the honourable troll both fell to the hybrid dragon-nethermancer minion of Verjigorm. their flesh burnt from their bone by the corrosive breath it expelled. Slim hope, but hope none the less remains for Mereoni. Her scarred body now rests in a crystal coffin. All expectations rest on a faint cry in the night, a plea to a mysterious benefactor.
Questions:
- Are the travellers taking any of the new weapons? (or anything else from the keep)
- Is there any other "shopping" the ship is to return with? (they are mainly getting lumber, rope, mortar (the cement kind not the ordinance) and nails to fix the keep's dock and roof)
- The ship was going to Iopos to pick up supplies...did the 4 PCs want dropping near the canal, on the way to the Iopos (i.e. won't get a chance to get supplies but might get picked up as the ship returns) or on the way back (after picking up supplies and with an option to do an aerial recon of the site but would be abandoned as the ship leaves, ie have to make their own way home)?
