Below is a general outline of a proposed course of action for which to plan by. Comments, suggestions, amendments and other plans are welcome. Once we have agreed on a course of action we can start allocating people to tasks to achieve the desired state of readiness.

Situation: As outlined by Giles e-mail.

Objective: Capture slave ship with minimal casualties and working of a 2 day preparation time.

General Plan:

  1. Allow ship to dock without arousing suspicions.
  2. Draw as many marines of the ship as possible by calling them to put down a slave revolt.
  3. Isolate the land bound marines.
  4. Assault and capture the ship with a combined water and land based assault with support fire from the shore.
  5. Utilise ship and other resources to return slaves to homes.

Groupings:

Group A - Water assault 30-40 Pale Ones to go up the side of the ship.
Group B - Ground assault 30 Pale Ones Lead by TomB and Ork.
Group C - Fire Support from side to be led by Sian with as many Pale Ones as there are Xbows.
Group D - Decoy and isolation of marines to be led by TomC with BenK and apprentice leading the decoy.
Group E - Non-combatants, those to injured to fight and prisoners.

Taskings:

Group A - Located in the water away from the ship. They will move into position as the ship docks and upon the signal (yet to be determined) will scale the sides of the ship and engage the sailors.
Group B - Located in the huts closest to the break water/jetty. Upon the signal they will assault the ship via the gan planks.
Group C - Concealed either in the palisade or alone the retaining wall. Upon the signal they will bring fire to bare on the deck of the ship with those manning the fire cannon being priority targets.
Group D - This group will be located on the other side of the bridge, except for BenK and apprentice with will after the ship is docked run out of the tunnel and call for support to suppress a slave revolt, then run back up the tunnel to the bridge where a fire will be lit on the other side to prevent retreat. An attempt will be made to force the serenader of as many as possible.
Group E - Located beyond group D in the mines to act at emergency support for group D. All wounded which are unable to assist in any of the other combat role will be hear. I expect up to 10 in this group, if there are any more then we will be seriously compromising the other groups.
