Day 1

Early morning start sees us walking down the road to the dock

The captain's dog (a Staffy?) spent half its time up here and the other half running down to the back of the boat and then back again. Apparently it hasn't fallen off!

Welcoming committee?

Eastern Osprey (Pandion cristatus)

Crossing Revolver Creek, which by now is not much more than a trickle, a slight worry

Easy walking in the secondary channel

Day 2

Traversing open country away from the creek

Rachel and Caro survey the route ahead up the gorge

Cycad (Macrozamia sp) seed pods

Rainbow Bee-eater (Merops ornatus)

What I expected to be a dryfall, turned out to be a beautiful swimming hole with a waterfall emerging from a canyon

Looking back across the swimming hole

Alan, Rachel and Paul rock hopping up Revolver Chasm

Rachel swimming further up Revolver Chasm

Revolver Falls at the head of the chasm

Alan leads the way up the steep pass out of the gorge
