Despite raining on the drive all the way up the mountains, the weather started to clear just as we arrived, and we had a good trip down Malaita Point. Ro led off most of the abseils and had to do a bit of sorting out of ropes as even the moderate breeze made a mess of things in a couple of places. I was glad I'd cancelled it a few weeks previous when the forecast was for 50km/h+ winds! We walked back up the Furber Steps, but decided there wasn't quite time for a second abseil. Instead, Elizabeth and I drove to Hazelbrook for a short walk on the Burgess Falls track.
